Welcome to Lanett Junior High School’s website! we believe in creating an environment where students learn while having fun! Our staff members love coming to work and this love flows to our students. On any given day, you can find students engaged in hands-on activities, creating experiments, working with Chromebooks, visiting our school library, and many more educational activities. All students attend a club every Monday during the regular school day. Our clubs are art, business etiquette, photography, gaming, robotics, and leadership. Students attend an elective class daily.Our elective are performing arts, band, yearbook, technology, and team building. We have four houses similar to Ron Clark Academy. Our houses are sebenza, Ubuntu, folami, and lunanga. Students “spin the wheel” during the first year to determine which house they will be a member of while they are at LJHS. We have monthly house tournaments where students compete to see which house will be the winner of the tournament. Our tournaments include basketball, volleyball, relay races, and more.
